Terms & Conditions
The entry rules, prize arrangements and your rights.
Promoter and scope
Waypoint Wins is operated by Waypoint Wins Limited, company number 17433274. Our registered office, correspondence and postal-entry address is Suite 60, WAYPOINT WINS LIMITED, 1 Ensbury Park Road, Bournemouth BH9 2SQ, United Kingdom. For support and complaints, email support@waypointwins.co.uk. These terms cover entries through waypointwins.co.uk and the free postal route. Read them alongside the individual competition page, Free Entry instructions, Privacy Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy. Save the applicable terms when you enter. A coming-soon preview is not an open competition or a promise that the illustrated prize will be offered.
How our competitions work
Every Waypoint Wins competition is a prize draw with a free entry route. You can enter online by buying tickets, or enter free by post (see Free postal entry). Free entries go into the same draw as paid entries and are treated the same way, so you never have to pay to enter or to win. This is how a prize draw with a free entry route operates under the Gambling Act 2005 (Schedule 2, paragraph 8). Our competitions are not games of skill, and there is no question to answer. Each entry is a numbered ticket. Unless the competition page lets you pick your own numbers, our system gives you numbers at random (a lucky dip). Where you can pick, you choose from the numbers still available. How a number was chosen makes no difference to its chance of winning: every confirmed ticket in a draw has the same chance. On competitions with instant prizes, numbers are always given at random.
Eligibility and accounts
Entrants must be UK residents aged 18 or over. A free account is required for online and postal entries. Use accurate personal details and your own account; account creation does not require a purchase or marketing consent. We may request proportionate evidence of age, identity, address and prize eligibility before confirming an award. Staff involved in administering a draw, and anyone with access to unreleased allocation information, must not enter it. Automated, fraudulent, impersonated or manipulated entries are not permitted. Published limits apply to each person across both entry routes.
Competition information
Each open competition identifies its prize, entry price and any bundle prices, ticket pool, entry limit, closing/draw date and any prize-specific restrictions. Prices are in pounds sterling. Only the exact advertised bundle quantity receives that bundle's price; other quantities use the displayed single-ticket price. Discounts are shown before submission and are subject to the stated code conditions. Cash alternatives apply only where an amount is explicitly offered. An unchecked cash-alternative option or a blank amount is not an offer of cash. The travel month or dates, voucher expiry dates, excluded costs, vehicle condition, delivery restrictions and any other material prize conditions must be published before entry opens. No unstated condition should be added after entry to reduce the advertised prize.
Online entries and payment
Review the prize and selected ticket quantity before submitting. Checkout reserves your entries, then you pay by card on our payment provider's secure page (we never see or store your card details) or, where card payment is not available, by the payment instructions shown. An unpaid reservation is not a confirmed entry and cannot win. If payment has not been confirmed, it expires 15 minutes after reservation when paying by card, or 24 hours after reservation when paying by the payment instructions, or at the competition closing time if that is sooner. Expired entries are released by the scheduled cleanup. Wallet-covered orders are confirmed when the system marks them paid. Your account records entry status. Never assume payment has been accepted solely because you see a reservation reference. Contact us if a payment or entry appears incorrect. No recurring payment or subscription is created by a ticket order. No question or answer is required to enter. A free postal entry route is available alongside online entry.
Free postal entry
No entry fee is payable for a valid postal entry; ordinary first- or second-class postage costs remain yours. Create your free account first. Send a postcard, or a letter in a stamped envelope, to Suite 60, WAYPOINT WINS LIMITED, 1 Ensbury Park Road, Bournemouth BH9 2SQ, United Kingdom, with your full name, full postal address, date of birth, account email and the name of the competition. One entry per postcard or letter; if an envelope holds more than one entry, only the first counts. No question or answer is required. Your entry must reach us by 12:00 noon (UK time) on the last working day before the competition closes. Each competition page shows the exact deadline. Late entries are not carried into another draw. We log valid entries in the order they arrive, normally on the working day they reach us and always before the competition closes. When we log your entry, our system gives it a random ticket number from the same pool as online tickets, and if that number is an instant-win number you win that prize. If every online ticket has already been sold, your entry still goes into the main draw with an extra ticket number above the online maximum. By then every instant-win number has been allocated, so that number can win the main prize and any draw for unwon instant prizes, but not an instant prize itself. The same individual entry limit applies to paid and postal entries combined.
How winners are chosen
Main draw: after a competition closes, we draw the winner at random by computer, using a public random number generator, from every confirmed ticket in that competition, paid and free. Unpaid reservations are not included. Before entry opens, the competition page names the draw time (between 5 minutes and 24 hours after the close) and where the random number comes from: drand, which publishes a new random number every 3 seconds made jointly by independent organisations (the League of Entropy), or the NIST Randomness Beacon, which publishes a new signed random number every minute. Nobody, including us, can know that number before it is published, and the source and draw time can't change once anyone has entered. The draw uses the first number the source publishes at or after the draw time, and every ticket confirmed at least one minute before the draw time, listed in number order. The winning position comes from that number and that list by a published calculation (SHA-256), and our Results page shows every input so anyone can check the result. If the source doesn't publish at the draw time, we use the first number it publishes after it. The main prize is awarded however many tickets are sold, as long as there is at least one valid entry. We don't bring a draw forward if tickets sell out, and we don't extend or cancel a competition because sales are lower than expected. Instant wins: on a competition with instant prizes, the winning ticket numbers are set before entry opens, shown on the competition page and can't be changed once entry opens. Because ticket numbers are given out at random, every ticket has the same chance of matching one. If one of your confirmed tickets matches a winning number, you win that prize straight away: for an online entry when your payment is confirmed, and for a postal entry when we log it. If an instant-win number hasn't been sold when the competition closes, we award that prize by a separate random draw from all confirmed tickets in the competition at the time of the main draw, one draw for each prize. These draws use the same random number and ticket list as the main draw, so one ticket can win more than one prize. Any reveal animation only shows a result that has already been decided. It doesn't change your numbers, your chance or the result, and it doesn't create another entry or prize. Unpaid or unconfirmed tickets can't win.
Announcing winners and claiming prizes
We make the main draw within 24 hours of the closing time shown on the competition page. The result, with the winning ticket number, appears on our Results page as soon as it is drawn, and we contact the winner by email within 2 working days of the draw. Instant-prize winners see their win in My Account straight away, and we confirm it by email. To claim a prize, choose how you'd like it in My Account › My Wins within 28 days of the draw or instant win, or contact prize@waypointwins.co.uk if you can't. Before we award a prize, we may ask for reasonable proof of your age, identity and address, which must match your account. If we haven't heard from you within 28 days, despite at least three attempts to contact you, or you aren't eligible, the prize is forfeited and we award it to another entrant chosen by random draw from the same competition's confirmed tickets. The redraw uses the main draw's ticket list without any ticket of an entrant who has forfeited that prize, and the first public random number published at or after a redraw time we set at least 5 minutes after recording the forfeit. Site-credit prizes are added to your account automatically and don't need claiming. Unless the competition page says otherwise before entry opens, we deliver prizes within 30 days of confirming the winner.
Prizes and fulfilment
We contact winners using their account details and verify eligibility before arranging fulfilment. Keep those details current. Site-credit prizes are credited to the account. Site credit does not expire and there is no time limit on using it: you can use it at any time towards future entries. It cannot be withdrawn as cash unless the prize expressly says otherwise. Cash and physical prizes require separate fulfilment by the team. Where a prize includes a cash alternative, the verified winner can choose the advertised prize or that cash amount, not both. A cash prize, or a prize's cash alternative, can instead be taken as site credit of the same value. Winners make this choice in My Account before we send anything. Site credit chosen instead of cash can't later be exchanged for cash, and isn't available to an account that is self-excluded or closed. We pay cash by bank transfer to a UK bank account in the winner's name, and deliver physical prizes to the UK address on the winner's account. Holiday and travel prizes take place within six months of the competition closing. For UK holidays and breaks, the competition page names the month the holiday takes place, and we agree the exact dates with the winner based on availability. For holidays abroad, the competition page names the departure airport, travel provider, hotel, destination and month of travel, and we offer the winner the dates available in that month. The competition page also sets out what is included, any booking restrictions and any excluded costs. Do not assume flights, transfers, insurance, spending money or a cash substitute are included unless the page says so. No travel provider or protection scheme is claimed until confirmed. Any voucher or gift card we give as a prize is valid for at least 12 months from the date we send it, and any terms or restrictions that apply to it are stated on the competition page before entry opens. Prize purchase and funding arrangements remain an operator launch-review item; these terms do not claim that every prize is already owned.
Cancellations, problems and refunds
See Returns & Refunds for the cancellation and complaints process. If we cancel a paid competition, entry payments for that competition must be returned rather than replaced with compulsory site credit. A cancellation, payment error or prize problem should be reported with the competition and order reference. We will investigate and explain the outcome. Nothing in these terms removes a statutory cancellation right or permits us to withhold a refund that the law requires. We must not extend deadlines or materially change prizes merely because sales are lower than hoped. If exceptional circumstances require a change, entrants must be informed and their legal rights preserved. An investigation into suspected abuse must be proportionate; entries cannot be invalidated arbitrarily.
Privacy, responsible participation and liability
Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy. Marketing is optional and separate from entry. We do not require agreement to unrelated publicity as a condition of receiving a prize. We publish each main-draw winner's first name, surname and county, with the prize and winning ticket number, on our Results and Winners pages. You can choose initials instead of your full name in My Account at any time, including after a draw. If the Advertising Standards Authority asks, we must still give it the winner's details. Account spend limits, pauses and self-exclusion controls are available under Responsible Play. Participation is not a way to earn an income or solve financial difficulties. We do not exclude liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
Complaints and governing law
Email support@waypointwins.co.uk or write to Waypoint Wins Limited at the correspondence address, quoting your account email, competition reference and relevant order number. Do not send card security codes or passwords. We will review the evidence and explain our decision; a statement that a draw result is final does not remove your right to complain or seek legal redress. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers retain the mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in the courts of their home jurisdiction where applicable, including Scotland and Northern Ireland. If a term is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. Material revisions apply prospectively and must not unfairly change an entry already accepted.
